Who We Are & How We Started ?
We were Bhutanese nationals of Nepali ethnic origin. As the Bhutan government started ethnic cleansing, we got banished out of the country in the early 90s.
Consequently, we fled to Nepal and lived refugee life there about 18 plus years. As many attempts on resolution to repatriate back to our country failed, we got an opportunity to resettle in third countries. Our community began arriving USA since 2008.
On April 2010, some of us (Bhutanese Christians) came together and started Nepali Fellowship. Initially, we named our assembly "Erie Bhutanese Church" and later "Safe Life Church". We rented facilities to worship until we purchased our own building in September 2020. Now, we are located at 3304 McClelland Ave. Erie, PA 16510.
Even though our worship is held primarily in Nepali language, we are trying to sing and preach in English as well. We want Safe Life Church to be a Church for all and we extend our heartfelt welcome to all.
Faith Statements :

We believe in One God who exists in three personalities; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth and everything that is in it.​
​
We believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. He is 100% God and 100% Man. He was born sinless and lived sinless. He is the Perfect Lamb of God that came into the world to be an Atoning Sacrifice for all human race.
​
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Personal God. He is our Helper, Counselor, Comforter & Teacher that guides us into the Truth. He convicts sin and regenerates souls. He fills us & empowers us to be the witnesses of Christ.

We believe that the Church is an institution established by God to overcome the gates of hades. The purpose of the Church is to Worship Him & Preach the Gospel to all nations.

We believe that the Salvation is by grace alone. God out of His unconditional love chooses to save us. Our works cannot save us. It is only the Name of Jesus Christ that can provide us salvation. Salvation is by faith alone in the Atoning Sacrifice of Christ.
​
We believe that Man is created by God in His own image to have fellowship with Him. But man rebelled against God & consequently has fallen into sin. Every human being is born with sinful nature. Sin separates man from God. It cuts off relationship between man and God.
​
We believe in Pre-tribulational rapture of the church that Christ will come and take up the Church before the Tribulation Period begins.
We believe in the Resurrection and Judgement of both the righteous for rewards and wicked for condemnation.
